Michał Kałużny (ur. 1974) jest absolwentem Akademii Sztuk Pięknych w Poznaniu na kierunku fotografia. Dyplom uzyskał w 2004 roku w Pracowni Fotografii Intermedialnej pod kierunkiem prof. Stefana Wojneckiego oraz Krzysztofa Baranowskiego.
Specjalizuje się w fotografii i cyfrowej obróbce obrazu foto oraz wideo, a także w edukacji z zakresu fotografii i astrofotografii. Od kilkunastu lat skupia się na astrofotografii głębokiego nieba, prowadząc blog i stronę Astrofotografia.pl. Od 2006 roku przeprowadził niezliczoną liczbę warsztatów i wykładów, współpracując zarówno z małymi ośrodkami kultury, jak i dużymi instytucjami oraz stowarzyszeniami. Ma na koncie kilkadziesiąt wystaw indywidualnych i zbiorowych.
Jako redaktor współpracuje z magazynami astronomicznymi, takimi jak Astronomia, Urania – Postępy Astronomii, Vademecum Miłośnika Astronomii, Komputer Świat oraz Optyczne.pl. Jego zdjęcia o tematyce astronomicznej zostały opublikowane w kilkudziesięciu książkach i wydawnictwach. Jest także pierwszym Polakiem, którego prace ukazały się w prestiżowym anglojęzycznym magazynie Sky & Telescope.
Jako ambasador marki Sigma aktywnie popularyzuje astrofotografię, prowadząc warsztaty i prelekcje, dzieląc się swoją wiedzą i doświadczeniem z pasjonatami astronomii i fotografii nocnego nieba.
Michał Kałużny (born 1974) is a graduate of the University of the Arts in Poznań, specializing in photography. He obtained his diploma in 2004 at the Intermedia Photography Studio under the supervision of Professor Stefan Wojnecki and Krzysztof Baranowski.
He specializes in photography and digital image processing for both photo and video, as well as in education in the field of photography and astrophotography. For over a decade, he has focused on deep-sky astrophotography, running a blog and the website Astrofotografia.pl. Since 2006, he has conducted countless workshops and lectures, collaborating with small cultural centers as well as major institutions and organizations. He has participated in numerous individual and group exhibitions.
As an editor, he collaborates with astronomy magazines such as Astronomia, Urania – Postępy Astronomii, Vademecum Miłośnika Astronomii, Komputer Świat, and Optyczne.pl. His astronomical photographs have been published in dozens of books and publications. Notably, he was the first Polish photographer to have his work featured in the prestigious English-language magazine Sky & Telescope.
As a Sigma brand ambassador, he actively promotes astrophotography by conducting workshops and lectures, sharing his knowledge and experience with astronomy and night sky photography enthusiasts.
